I don't usually wear liquid foundation but lately I find myself collecting foundation, shades usually look fine/matching the first time I apply them but once I'm in the car... *oxidize* my face would look way too pink or orange compared to the rest of my body. its just... Ehhh.
Anyhows... one of the foundation that I have collected is from ELF eyeslipsface.com, I bought the E.L.F. studio flawless foundation in SAND, and BUFF. (should've ordered porcelain too) These cost $6 each, has SPF15, and contains 0.8oz/23g.
Left:BUFF, Right: SAND
so from the website "Achieve a flawless complexion with the silky smooth e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation. The lightweight and oil-free formula blends in naturally for a beautiful semi-matte finish. This liquid foundation applies easily and lasts all day for visibly brighter and radiant looking skin. Using our Flawless Finish Foundation not only restores uneven skin textures and tones, but most importantly, the SPF 15 protects your skin against harmful sun damage!"
Color wise buff is way too dark for me, while sand tends to oxidize too pink for me. (I'll try porcelain next since Ive seen a comment on how it has a yellow undertone) The foundation comes in a frosted glass container which is bulky/heavy, and a pump. The First time I tried using this the cap came loose. It takes a couple of pumps for the product to come out, The foundation runs very liquidy and is easy to blend. It is scented, not an overpowering scent but it does linger. It covers up my red marks, and skin looks dewy What I dont like about this though is that it feels sticky, the scents lingers throughout the day and it transfers!! (see photo below)
This was taken when I blotted the swatch above (Left: sand Right: buff) I didnt even rub or anything, just blotted. nobody likes foundation on their clothes (T_T)
What I like:
-> Coverage is medium to full
-> Coverage is medium to full
-> Contains SPF
-> Cheapest drugstore foundation brand I know of (ELF always have promos/coupons)
-> Skin looks natural and dewy
-> blends easy/ does not cake
What I did not like:
-> scented
-> feels sticky
-> product transfers
-> pump (this is a con since the pump seemed harder to use than the other pumps I have, either no product or a lot of product comes out)
-> availability (online or target stores)
-> hard to find a shade match (6 shades to choose from)
-> It makes my skin itch and gives me red bumps (pimples too if I have it on too long)

no problem, ELF is my favorite drugstore product. let me know how it works out for you?
I have been using E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer for quite sometime now, and am quite curious about their other products. Your review has been so helpful. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your blog.
followed you now, hope you can drop by my blog and maybe we can follow each other?

Thanks :D ELF is a decent brand for its price, def one brand im trying to collect.
the studio tinted moisturizer is actually one of their products I still havent tried yet, how is it?
I followed you, and ah! you're filipino! (the adobo looks really yummy) random i know.
Yep, I'm Filipino haha! That post about Adobo totally gave me away lol
About the tinted moisturizer, it's actually pretty good, especially if it's just for daytime use. Can't put on too much tho, cuz it'll make your face ghastly pale hahaha Or idk... it's probably just cuz of the shade I'm using. Otherwise it's great! Very natural feel and not too heavy.
Thanks for following back! <3

haha that adobo post actually made me crave for it. have to search ol for the recipe.
are you talking about the essential or the studio one? I've seen the elf.ph website and the price is - if im not mistaken- more than double the price here. 0.0
no problem :D
I'm using this one: http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~30.htm. and whoa, e.l.f. products are more expensive over here? that's interesting, and kinda sad too ;(
ah the essential line, I thought you were talking about the studio one. I have that, it turns pink on me though :\
the essential line cost $1 here, and from what I saw on the ph website converted its around $3. (you are in the phil right?)
kaya nagpapabuy pinsan ko dyan ng mga elf here. :D
Yup, I'm in the Phils. Your cousin is so lucky cuz you're so thoughtful to send her elf products ;D But yeah, yan talaga problem dito, cosmetics prices are doubled, even tripled pa when it's being sold locally ;(
Thank you for the review! I've always been curious about this foundation ... after reading what you had to say, I think I might go out and try it :)
